As a play therapist, I believe that play can be used to help families and children find solutions. Play is our first language. Play can build trust, regulate emotions, and help us express thoughts and feelings that might otherwise remain hidden. And as a marital and family therapist, I believe that play therapy works best when parents/caregivers and families are actively involved in the treatment process. I want to work with your child and family to help you reconnect.

My experience has focused on children and families working through attachment disruptions and trauma. I have worked with military families coping with the deployment and reuniting of family members, with children undergoing placement in therapeutic foster care, and with school-age children in the Oklahoma City metro area. As a result of this experience, I focus on how human potential can be achieved through family relationships and enhanced through connections with others. My job is to help guide my clients to build and rebuild those lines of communication, attachment, and trust.

In addition to my training in play therapy, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based trauma treatment modality and can be used in conjunction with play therapy with children.
